What’s the Shopify Buy Button?
Shopify’s Buy Button is an ecommerce channel that allows you to add ecommerce functionality to your website, blog, emails, etc. It can be used to sell products on your website, Squarespace, Tumblr or WordPress.
How do you add a Buy Button to your website?
- Log in to your Shopify admin panel
- Choose an option from the Buy Button page.
- Select Product allows you create a Buy Button that will only feature one product. Customers will be taken to the checkout page or cart page if they click the But Button. This depends on how customized the Buy Button is in your Shopify admin panel.
- You can create a Buy Button by choosing Select a Collection. This button will feature all products from a particular collection in your store. Clicking on a product will bring up the Product description and an Add to Cart button.
- If you include a Buy Button to an email, the customer will be redirected to the checkout page when they click on it.
How do I create a buy button for products and collections
- Login to Shopify admin panel. Click on the Buy Button.
- Click on the Select Product
- You can search for a specific product or select a product in your store. Select a product
- You can customize the text and appearance of the button, as well as the color, on the Create page.
- You can select what happens to a customer when they click on the Buy Button. You have the option to choose between “Add to Cart”, “Direct Checkout” or “Show Product Details” options
- Once you’re done customizing it, click on Generate code
- An Embed Code dialog box will appear. Click Copy embed code to the clipboard
- Paste the embed code in the HTML page you wish to display the button and save your changes.
- You can also create a Buy Button to purchase a collection from your store. After clicking on the Buy Button in your Shopify admin panel, click on Select a Collection and follow the steps to embed it on your website.
How do I create a buy button for email
- Login to Shopify Admin Panel – Click on Buy Button
- Click on Select product to go to the embed a Product in Email Section
- Click on the product that you wish to highlight and click on Select products
- An email Buy Button may only feature one product variant. If your product comes in more than one variant, you must choose the variant you want to highlight.
- Click on Copy Link to Copy the Embed email link page.
- Click on Buy Now to see a preview of the final product for your customers.
- Copy the generated link into your email campaign
