Have you ever wished you could add additional columns to your Shopify menus? Whether you’re running a small business or just need more space to organize your products, adding columns is an easy way to do just that. In this blog post, we will outline the steps necessary to add columns to your Shopify menus, so that you can better organize your products and increase sales.
Create a New Shopify Store
When you have a menu on your Shopify store, it can be hard to find the things you’re looking for. It can also be hard to add new items to the menu without cluttering up your screen. You can fix these problems by adding columns to your menu.
1. Go to Settings > Menus and click on the “Add New Menu” button.
2. On the “New Menu” screen, enter a name for your new menu and select a layout from the drop-down list.
3. Click on the “Columns” tab and select how many columns you want your menu to have.
Add a Custom Field to your Menu
Adding a Custom Field to your Menu is simple on Shopify. There are a few steps you will need to take in order to add a Custom Field to your Menu.
First, navigate to the Appearance tab of your Shopify admin area and find the Menus section. You will see two menus – one for Posts and another for Pages.
Next, click on the Posts menu and locate the Add New Columns link located at the bottom of the page.
When you click on this link, you will be presented with a list of available Custom Fields.
Scroll down until you locate the Text Field option and select it from the list.
In addition to providing a name for your Custom Field, you will also need to specify a data type for it. You can choose either Text or Number based on what best suits your needs.
When you have finished setting up your Custom Field, click on the Save button located near the top of the page.
Your new Custom Field will now be available in both the Posts and Pages menus when you create new content items or pages.
Configure the Columns in your Menu
If you’re looking to customize your Shopify menus, you can add columns to your menu items. This guide will show you how to do this, step-by-step.
First, open up your Shopify admin area and click on Stores. Then select the store for which you want to configure the menu columns. Next, click on Menu under the Store Overview section.
On the left-hand side of the Menu page, click on Columns. You’ll now see a list of all of the options available for configuring columns in your menu. To add a new column, select New Column from the top right corner of the screen.
Next, enter a name for your column and select a type from the dropdown box below it. You can choose between Text (for text-based columns), Checkbox (for checkbox-based columns), and Radio Buttons (for radio buttons).
Finally, specify which fields you want to include in this column by selecting one or more fields from the dropdown box below it. You can select any field that’s available in your shop’s database; however, note that some fields may not be supported by all theme templates or plugins, so it’s important to test before you go ahead and add these fields to your menu items.
Once you’ve finished configuring your new column, click on Save at the top right corner of the screen. Your changes will now be live within your menus!
Add the Menu to Your Website
Adding columns to your menu on Shopify is a simple process that can be done in just a few minutes. To begin, open the Shopify admin area and navigate to the Store Profile > Menus section. In this section, you will find the Menus tab. On this tab, you will see a list of all of the menus that are available on your account.
To add a new column to your menu, click on the plus sign next to the Menu name field and select Columns from the drop-down menu. This will open up a new dialog box where you can select which columns you would like to add to your menu.
To add a new column, simply select the type of column that you want to add from the list and enter the appropriate information into the corresponding fields. For example, if you wanted to add a new “Item Type” column to your menu, you would enter “Item Type” into the Name field and “Description” into the Description field.
Once you have added all of the columns that you want, click on OK button and then save your changes by clicking on Save button.
