What is the Shopify Storefront Access Token?
The Shopify Storefront Access Token is a unique and secret token that is used to access the Shopify Storefront API. This token allows you to make authenticated requests to the API and can be used to track or manage your shop’s data.
How to Get the Shopify Storefront Access Token
In order to get the Shopify Storefront access token, you will need to create a private app in your Shopify admin. Once you have created the private app, you will be able to generate the access token.
To create a private app in your Shopify admin:
1. Go to Apps section of your Shopify admin.
2. Click on the “Manage private apps” link.
3. Click on the “Create a new private app” button.
4. Enter a name and contact email for the private app.
5. Under Admin API, select which permissions you want the app to have. For this example, we will select “Read Products, Customers, and Orders”.
6. Click on the “Save” button.
7. Copy down the API Key and Password for use later.

The Different Types of Shopify Storefront Access Tokens
The Shopify Storefront Access Token is used to access the Shopify Storefront API. There are two types of tokens: permanent and temporary.
Permanent tokens are generated by the Shopify admin and never expire. They can berevoked at any time by the user. Temporary tokens are generated by the Shopify API and expire after a set period of time.
In order to get a permanent token, you must first create a private app in your Shopify admin. To do this, go to Apps > Manage private apps. Click on Create a new private app and fill out the required fields. Once you’ve created the app, click on Generate API credentials. This will generate a permanent access token for your app.
To get a temporary token, you must make an API call to the /oauth/access_token endpoint using your app’s key and secret as well as the code parameter from the previous step. This will return a JSON response containing your temporary access token as well as its expiration date.
