Reading Time: 4 minutes

When you’re ready to take your eCommerce business to the next level, there are a few platforms you can choose from. Volusion and Shopify are two of the most popular options available today, and each has its own set of benefits and drawbacks. If you’re considering a migration from Volusion to Shopify, it’s important to understand the steps involved. In this blog post, we will walk you through each step of the process and explain why it’s such a valuable move for your business.

What is Volusion?

Volusion is a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform that helps business owners manage and track customer interactions. Businesses can use Volusion to create custom forms, manage orders, keep records of customer information, and more.

Businesses can migrate their Volusion account to Shopify in a few simple steps. First, create an account on Shopify. Next, login to your Volusion account and click the “Migrate” button on the main page. On the migration page, you’ll need to provide some information about your business, including your company name and website address. Finally, click the “Start Migration” button to begin the process.

During the migration process, Volusion will create a new Shopify store for you. You’ll need to provide Shopify with some basic information about your business, such as your company name and contact information. Once the migration is complete, you’ll be able to access all of your data from Volusion in your new Shopify store!

What Does Volusion Do?

Volusion is a shopping cart software that allows users to manage their online shop from a single platform. As such, it is a popular choice for those wanting to migrate over to Shopify. While the process of migrating your Volusion store over to Shopify is complex, there are several steps that can be followed in order to make the transition as smooth as possible.

First and foremost, it is important to determine if your Volusion store is ready for migration. If your store contains active data and customers, then it is likely ready for conversion. However, if your store has been frozen or dormant for some time, then it may not be in an optimal state for migration. In these cases, it may be necessary to conduct a full backup of the Volusion site before proceeding with the migration process.

Once you have determined that your Volusion store is ready for migration, the next step involves identifying all of the files and folders required for conversion. These files will include everything from images and product data to custom code and themes. It is important to note that not all of these files will need to be moved over; only those that are specific to your shop should be transferred.
