When you begin browsing these sites, you realize that you will need to pay a fee, or sign up for a membership to access all the information you require. These sites seem to keep appearing more and more often, regardless of how many times you search.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Here are some tips, and a list of dropshipping companies that don’t charge membership fees.
Looking for Dropship Companies
You’ll quickly notice two types of dropship supplier businesses competing for your attention when you search the internet.
- Dropship business directoriesThese directories list wholesalers, manufacturers, and distributors.
- Dropship Market PlacesThese are the places where many sellers operate under the market name. You can think of Amazon to see what I mean
Both the above-mentioned business models need income to survive. They also have to pay for their services.
It’s not that websites charging for services aren’t important to me. It’s often difficult to find the money you need for your business, so it makes no sense to pay for information you can get free. Paid marketplaces and directories can be a great way to speed up product research and product sourcing.
Personaly, I love to have as much information as possible. You should search directories and websites that say “No Monthly Fee Dropshippers” (or “Dropship Wholesalers free membership”) instead. You don’t want to invest too much in the early stages of your business.
Directory Listings for Paid Users
There are some issues with paying for a directory. I’ll list them below.
- Many online directories are not as focused on your expectations and offer little to no service.
- Paid directories that offer membership are primarily focused on signing up new members to make more money than quality of their supplier lists. It is possible to end up with suppliers you don’t need or that are outdated and no longer relevant.
To start, I recommend that you use a free directory and not a paid one. You can search google for “Dropship Wholesalers free membership” + the product you wish to sell if you are certain of what you want.

Another popular website is this one, which offers a free dropshippers and wholesale directory. The site provides contact information for the suppliers as well as a link to the supplier’s website. Advertisements are used to support this website. There are only a handful of companies listed on each page. This is because there’s more information, but it takes more clicking. It takes just a little longer to find it.

ESources
It lists more than 140,000 suppliers verified on its portal. It’s not 100% free, but keep reading. This website conducts its own research and provides its members with the most authentic and verified wholesalers or dropshippers. There are two options: the premium buyers pack and the free buyers package. You have access to all suppliers through the free buyers pack.
Premium Packs are available for PS20 per month. They include a free website and hosting to host your store, if desired. This site is great and has tons of resources. Unfortunately, the owners will try to sell you extra income by selling you add-ons such as e-Courses.
The plus side is that many of the eCources come with your monthly subscription. You can upgrade to the paid package if you wish.

How to Identify Trustworthy Dropship Providers
You might come across sites that could cause more harm than good when you start your eCommerce store.
There are many dodgy people in the world. How can you tell the difference?
Fake dropshipper is a term you’ll often hear. But what does it mean?
It’s simply anyone who offers products for dropshipping but it can also be called:
1. They don’t hold stock; they simply pass your order to another supplier.
2. You are sold a membership, but you soon realize that the products are too expensive and you don’t make any profit.
3. They may even sell fake goods! This is a huge no.
4. They sell the same products, so you don’t have to pay extra for popular products.
These are some of the tips that will help you stay safe.
Ask for a sample
If a supplier is truly interested in doing business with your company, they will not only share their product information with you but will also send you samples of their products. This will ensure two things: first, that the supplier is trustworthy and second, that your buyers receive the same quality product you expect.
Dropshipper or Middle Man
Many have complained to the marketplace that the person they were trading with was not a dropshipper, but a middleman. These people sell products at a higher price than other suppliers, which leaves you with little margin. Be aware of these middlemen and be on the lookout for them.
Minimum Orders
To prove you are a retailer, some suppliers may ask you to order a minimum quantity. Don’t buy more than what you need for your customers. If you only have one order for one item, don’t buy ten more just because the supplier wants you to order 10. Find a supplier that will only sell one item.
