After saving changes, your account status will now be active. At that point you can start building your store.

CustomCat Dashboard Overview

CustomCat often posts announcements to its dashboard that include information about discontinued products, promotional pricing, out-of-stock products, and other pertinent information.

If you wish to make changes to your payments, you can access your settings from your dashboard.

You can also turn off and auto-process orders.

You should always save any changes you make to your files.

Customer service is greatly enhanced by the view order section.

Search by order ID or date range to find your order.

You will notice that there are several filters in the order view.

You can filter by status to save time and organization.

The mail icon is useful for customers who wish to reach a customer service representative.

You can also use the pause or resume buttons.

To allow you to request a color or size change, the pause icon will pause the order before it enters CustomCat’s production system.

There are many useful statuses in the filters.

The order is in processing status, meaning it has not yet entered CustomCat’s production systems. This makes it eligible to be paused.

You can’t pause an order with the ‘in production” option.

CustomCat has shipped the product when it is deemed ‘fulfilled’.

“Paused” means the product is still in production. “Refunded” indicates that CustomCat has re-credited your account.

Finally, CustomCat has placed a replacement order for you.

For accounting purposes, you have an export to CSV that you can always use.

The next section is the transaction section. It is similar to the order but will display the total transaction for a specific date range.

You can have multiple orders for batched orders so you can see each order by date and status.

CustomCat Design Library

You can upload your CustomCat designs for printing on a physical product.

Go to the design library page, click on the “Upload Image” button, and you can get started.

Take a look at the material on the pop-up page, and then click the checkbox.

To open your browser, click on the next page and select “Add designs”.

You can add multiple designs by holding down the control key on your keyboard and clicking ‘open’.

A preview will appear. Click the Continue button to continue.

You can view all the designs you have just uploaded in the design library.

You can hover over any design to see a red “X” that allows you to delete it from your library.

You can also save your designs to your computer using the “download to desktop” button.

You can also edit certain details by clicking on either the pencil icon, or clicking to edit.

You can edit the file name to suit your needs and add tags by simply typing them in and hitting the enter/add button.

Before saving your changes, you can view the background and preview them.

After you’re done, hover over the designs you have edited to see all the changes you made.

CustomCat offers some organizational features to make your design page more organized.

You can flip between pages to see all of your designs. You can also search your design library to find tags and file names.

You can sort alphabetically or by date, and filter your past tags by clicking on the tags dropdown menu. Click the tag you want to select and then click the button.

Add Products to CustomCat Shopify App

You can add products to CustomCat using the Shopify store. Visit the CustomCat app on Shopify.

Click the button ‘directly to garment’ and choose ‘front only.

Next, go to the product catalog and select the products you’ll be using.

CustomCat offers tools that allow you to filter your options.

You can search by brand or cost of the products.

The product details will open up when you click on it.

You can edit the product name and add a cost.

CustomCat will suggest retail but you can always change that.

Next, choose your colors. Then, you can edit the colors.

After you’re done, you can choose your designs and tag them using the CustomCat tag. They will appear as separate products.

Export settings can be used to publish your designs to your online store.

You can then go back to your products and make any necessary changes.

To change the position or size of your device, click on the customize button.

Click on the corner to reduce, increase, move, turn off, or snap to the center.

You can view your products in different colors using the arrow keys. If you’re happy with the result, click the “save positioning” button.

Direct to Garment (DTG), Printing

You now know how to upload products to your Shopify store. Next, you will need to learn how to create a front and back design that can be used for direct-to-garment printing.

Click the first option, and then choose your product.

You have the option to choose between the left chest and the back product, or the front-and-back option.

Once you’ve made your choice, you can go ahead and make any changes you want.

You will notice a slight difference in the back if you continue to the next step.

If you do a front/back design, you must do it. You will need to assign them right away.

You can also upload multiple designs to CustomCat in one export.

The process of creating a product is easy once you’ve uploaded your designs.

There is only one difference: you have to assign the front and back. You also need to know that you can do multiple designs at once.

Exporting front and back products will take longer because you have to export more mockups than you would if you were only exporting one side.

Decoration methods

There are many options for CustomCat decorations, including presets and design positioning.

You will be able to modify the design placement during the export and review stages.

It is important to know the difference between assigning dye sublimation products and defining a file for CustomCat products.

You will then go into the shop to choose dye sublimation, and finally select the product.

You will find a tile view in the design library that indicates that it is an assign file.

These will work with any pre-made product.

As you can see, there is no option to design position the file.

It will look strange if you open it for a different product unless you first open it for the product it was designated for.

After you’ve saved the product as your assigned product go on to the design positioning.

The default preset is usually perfect.

You can choose from two dye-sub prints for the product’s front and back. There’s also a customize option that allows you to move and resize the designs because they aren’t cut up.

The embroidery feature is also very simple.

There are no available design positions for embroidery.

Personalized Products

The design library allows you to create personalized text designs for CustomCat designs and then upload them to your Shopify store.

Go to the design library to start. Select the design you wish to personalize text for.

To move the text fields, you can click and drag.

Your customer will see the text that you have entered in your display text box. If you have a specific color in mind, you can choose your color or enter the exact value.

Save it and adjust your font size, text area, then save it.

Save your product with a new name while you’re saving it so it doesn’t get confused with the original design template.

After you’ve created your personalized file, it’s easy to open it and see what it looks like.

It comes pre-tagged with personalization, so you can use it whenever you wish.

Next, add the product to your Shopify store.

You can use dye sublimation to personalize products. Once you’re satisfied with the data, add it to your collection.
