Shopify Facebook Store Setting up and its Examples

Step 1: Make sure your Facebook account is properly set up

  1. Create a Facebook page for your business. You can read our guide to setting up a Facebook page for your business.
  2. Register for a Facebook Manager account. This is a Facebook tool that allows you to manage your Facebook page, as well as your ad campaigns.
  3. Verify that your Facebook Page is connected to your Business Manager account.
  4. In your Business Manager, add an Ad Account.
  5. You must have admin rights to access the Facebook Business Page and Business Manager.

These will all take just a few minutes to put together. Each one should be completed quickly. Once you’ve connected your Shopify store with Facebook, you can get into more detail.

Step 2: Connect your Shopify Store to your Facebook Account

A Facebook shop is referred to as a Facebook Shop in Shopify. It is considered a sales channel. Your Shopify storefront, Amazon, eBay, Instagram and any buy buttons that you add to your website or blog are all sales channels.

Navigate to the left-side menu and click on “Sales Channels” from your Shopify dashboard. Click the plus icon to open a pop-up window that will display all of your sales channels, including Facebook.

Step 3: Create your Facebook shop

After you have chosen to add a Facebook channel for sales, create your Facebook shop. These six steps will be simple.

Optional: Enable data sharing

Conversions API can also be enabled for reliable data sharing. Select Maximum data to be sent via Conversions API in your Data Sharing Settings. This will include Advanced Matching and the Facebook Pixel.

You can choose how your customer data and browsing habits are collected by your online store using data sharing tools such as Facebook pixel.

Data sharing is an option. Although data sharing can improve sales and marketing campaigns, it is not a right choice for everyone. It is important to tell your customers how data is shared with them, what data they share, and how much. You must ensure that your privacy policies are current so you can give this information to customers.

Connect or create your Facebook Commerce account

This allows you to create a catalog that you can use to organize products into collections or customize your Facebook Shop. Your Facebook Shop catalog won’t allow you to set up products. Instead, Shopify will automatically sync your product listing once it is approved by Facebook.

Accept & Review Facebook’s Terms and Conditions

Last, review Facebook’s terms. After that, click Finish Setup.

After you have connected your Facebook business account, Facebook will inspect your store to make sure it meets the guidelines. These guidelines include the use of a currency supported on Facebook and the prohibition against selling firearms or adult content.

Facebook can take up 48 hours to review your store. You will be notified via email by Facebook if you are approved or denied. When you log into Shopify, you will see the completion of the review process.

Step 4: Configure Your Products

Once your Facebook Shop has been approved, you can begin setting up products and choosing products from your Shopify Store.

These steps will help you add a product in your Shopify store:

  • Shopify Dashboard: Go to Products, then All Products
  • Click on Add Product from the All Products page. You will need to enter the title of your product, description, images and pricing information.
  • Select Facebook under Sales Channels and Apps if you wish to include the product listing within your Facebook Shop.
  • Click on Save Product.

Remember that you can always modify the details of products later when you add them to your online store. There are two options: adjust your pricing or increase shipping costs by using additional distribution centers.

Your products will sync immediately with your Facebook Shop once Shopify approves it. Shopify product updates will take around 15 minutes to be reflected in your Facebook Shop.

Step 5: Optimize your Shopify Facebook Store

Once you have created your Shopify Facebook store, it’s time to plan how to market it. The marketing of a Shopify Facebook shop is not that different from any other business. It is important to identify your target audience, their online habits, and what motivates these people.

Marketing strategies that are popular include using Facebook ads, offering a referral programme, and using affiliates. This gives an affiliate a percentage on every sale. It’s still advertising, even if they don’t sell or a customer shares your store with their friends.
