In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to add custom image sizes to your Shopify store. We’ll walk you through the steps of adding a new dimension to your image size settings.
First, open up the “Settings” app on your Shopify admin panel. Then click on “Store Images”. Under “Store Images”, click on the “Advanced Image Sizes” tab (see below).
Next, we’ll add a new dimension to our image size settings. Click on the “Add Dimension” button (see below).
Next, enter in the dimensions of your new image size (in pixels). The height and width should both be set to 100px. The aspect ratio will be automatically set to 16:9 (standard TV screen proportions). Next, enter in a filename for your new image size dimension. We’ll call ours “small”. Finally, click on the “Create Dimension” button (see below).
Now that we’ve created our new image size dimension, all future images that need to be sized down will be saved in that format. To apply this setting to an existing image, simply drag and drop it into the appropriate field within the “Images” tab of the “Settings” app on your Shopify admin panel.
